Music for Fallout 4 - Radio K.I.M.
Re: Music for Fallout 4 - Radio K.I.M.
That's amazing! Fantastic idea and very generous of both you and Kim for collaborating on this and putting it out there. I haven't played Fallout 4 in many months now but might have a reason to now.

Re: Music for Fallout 4 - Radio K.I.M.
Alright, well I gotta put this at the top of the list because, given how the song's written and the plot of Fallout 4, I always thought it was a perfect fit:
1. For the Kill (Biting Elbows) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ta-VjfjymZk
The rest of my suggestions I'll try to keep limited to what I think would work in Fallout 4 in some way, shape, or form since some of the music I listen to is... well, some of it is extremely oddball (seriously, ever listen to Katamari on the Rock?)
2. Don't Bother None (Seatbelts) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YLA7rUW9BWo
3. The Best of Us (Miracle of Sound) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aN9C1ehwrQ8
4. Redemption Blues (Miracle of Sound) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zV48aAF5AcM
5. The Hero (JAM Project) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TUTJ0klnKk
(My brother and I both agreed that it'd be badass to have that song in there)
6. Renegades of Funk (Rage Against the Machine) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K626gMvu2ds
7. Burn My Shadow (Unkle) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fq8snGV1RME
8. Through the Night - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-q9I-3tpqbk
9. Peter Gunn Theme (Blues Brothers) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N391Gn2FnQE
10. Don't Stop Me Now (Queen) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFUjwj_RB5o
Mine aren't necessarily in any particular order beyond that top one, so if anyone wants a particular song off my list included over another, I won't be heartbroken about it. Some of these fit better than others.

Re: Music for Fallout 4 - Radio K.I.M.
Hey robotman... I'm back from my agitated life in university to ask you: how do you get the robot effect in their voices? Do you have a tutorial or anything? I'd be really grateful if you told me...Robotman wrote:I've got a treat for everyone. This is going to be included in the upcoming Radio K.I.M. 7, and is a collaboration between Kim Coquette and Belle Loxely. Here is our android DJ K.I.M. interviewing another android Belle:
Radio K.I.M. - Open Panel Discussion 2
My thanks go out to Kim and Belle for the great performances in this!
And just to ask again, if anyone else has some songs they'd like to hear in Radio K.I.M. 7, please let me know.

Re: Music for Fallout 4 - Radio K.I.M.
Oh man, thanks for taking your time to explain this to me... it means a lotRobotman wrote:I use an audio editor called Cool Edit, which is now Adobe Audition. Kim's voice in Radio K.I.M. has had the following effect on it (after noise reduction and EQ):
That's the Time/Stretch effect. The way I used it is to lower the pitch of Kim's voice by 2% while keeping the speed unchanged. Then I use the Mix Paste feature to combine that with the original waveform. The effect is to create an "out of phase" effect that has a synthetic kind of quality to it.
For Belle Loxely's voice, I used one of the Flanger effect presets:
If you're using the free audio editor Audacity, you may be able to recreate these settings. I've never really used Audacity, so I don't know for sure.

Re: Music for Fallout 4 - Radio K.I.M.
Assuming I ever bother to work on modding again, I might try making a voiced follower for one of these Bethesda games using that trick. I think using a TTS program is pretty good for lack of an actual female to record, but this could help sell the effect a bit better as well.
Re: Music for Fallout 4 - Radio K.I.M.
Home sick today and have some time plus I just re-downloaded FO4 so this seems worthwhile. My tastes run a bit more mainstream than some so I hope that's ok.Robotman wrote:Last call for song requests for Radio K.I.M. 7.
We need at least two people to request at least 10 more songs each to make it to 50 songs.See the original post for details.
1. The Body Electric - Rush ... This one seems practically made for Fallout synths escaping from the Institute.
2. Baba O'Riley - The Who ... (Teenage Wasteland amirite?)
3. Modern Day Cowboy - Tesla
4. Shoot to Thrill - AC/DC
5. Gimme Shelter - Rolling Stones ...self explanatory
6. Do It Again - The Kinks ...one more time around the wasteland
7. Fight The Good Fight - Triumph
8. Hallowed Be Thy Name - Iron Maiden
9. God of Thunder - KISS
10. Tornado of Souls - Megadeth
11. Orion - Metallica
I know it's probably kinda meh for most but I'd listen to this in the Wasteland.

I will totally request Katamari on the Rock if we don't hit the quota, just so every time it comes on people can remember "Oh yeah, that's why it's playing this song."

Hey any chance this will be on ps4 mods ?Robotman wrote:Alright everybody, thanks very much for the song request submissions.![]()
I have more than enough songs to work with now, so song requests are closed. (The mailbox outside Cabot House is now locked)
I'll start editing the audio and writing a script for Kim now. If anyone wants to add more written notes or comments about their song requests, it's not too late to do that. Also, if anyone still wants to record audio "holotapes" of them requesting their songs, please do!

I'm not against doing an audio request, but I'd have to listen to the other parts to know what kind of language to use. Should I record each song request individually?

Re: Music for Fallout 4 - Radio K.I.M.
how do i get it on ps4. is it on the mod page on the consoleRobotman wrote:Radio K.I.M. 7 is here!![]()
Thanks to everyone who submitted requests for this one, I managed to squeeze in every single song that got requested, along with the excellent performances of Kim Coquette and Belle Loxely for Open Panel Discussion 2. This was done by doubling-up some of the songs into 1 file, so even though there are 65 songs, there are 50 files, and this works perfectly with the PipPOD mod in Fallout 4.
Here is the track listing for Radio K.I.M. 7:
The XWM version for use in the game can be downloaded here:
Radio K.I.M. 7 — XWM
The MP3 version for PS4 and Xbone users, and for anybody else who just wants to listen is available here:
Radio K.I.M. 7 — MP3
I did make one slight alteration to one of the songs, by the way. You will notice when you hear it. If you don't like that change, send me an email and I'll send you a file containing something to "fix" it.
Thanks again to our song requesters, to Belle Loxely, and especially to Kim Coquette for the excellent android DJ voice work and for requesting some songs of her own as well.
this looks like a job for some SCIENCE!
Re: Music for Fallout 4 - Radio K.I.M.
Fantastic results! Found myself laughing as Kim dropped some knowledge about the songs. I knew most of the tidbits about the ones I submitted but I definitely learned some new stuff about some of the other artists/songs. Well done! Love the format.
