What’s up with the Wiki?
I have noticed that there have been issues with Frmbotwiki. What’s the story and does anyone know when it will be back up?

Re: What’s up with the Wiki?
I noticed issues a little over a week ago. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes it's slow, sometimes it won't load at all. I'm guessing it's either a routing or hosting issue and not an issue with the wiki itself.

Re: What’s up with the Wiki?
I’m getting the same prob: partial loading followed by the error “cannot parse response”. Can battle through it sometimes, sometimes not...

Re: What’s up with the Wiki?
Whatever issues you may be having must be on the hosting end, since neither Blox nor myself has done anything to the wiki code since at least October/November.

Re: What’s up with the Wiki?
I can only hope that Dreamhost is finally upgrading the OS on their servers so we can eventually get MySQL 8, and PHP 8. I'm just curious as to why only the wiki seems affected, and not the forums, since they are both hosted on Dreamhost.

Re: What’s up with the Wiki?
I'm gonna guess they're on different physical boxes at DH.

Re: What’s up with the Wiki?
I noticed yesterday that Dreamhost updated the PHP backend from 7.4.11 to 7.4.14. It's possible them doing that over several days could have caused the issues everyone was experiencing.

Re: What’s up with the Wiki?
It would seem the loading issues appear to be limited to iOS devices. It is unclear if this is an issue with iOS, or with Dreamhost.

Re: What’s up with the Wiki?
I have not updated or modified my iOS device since before the issue started.
Edit:
Spaz maybe these will help?

Re: What’s up with the Wiki?
The wiki currently isn't using the MobileFrontEnd extension, since the recent versions have native mobile support. Furthermore, neither Blox nor myself have made any modifications to the wiki code since October. If you haven't updated your device, then the only remaining explanation is that it is Dreamhost....they did recently modify their servers to bump up the PHP version. I can only hope they'll fix it eventually.

Re: What’s up with the Wiki?
Yeah, I'm still on 14.1 on my iPhone which is a good few months old. Thank you for trying to look into it, it's appreciated!Spaz wrote: ↑Sun Jan 31, 2021 2:23 pm The wiki currently isn't using the MobileFrontEnd extension, since the recent versions have native mobile support.
