Seeing the Sabres arent there, and I will be in Phiily next week I'd better support their team.

Now the team in Carolina if I remember the details correctly. Actually got taken to see them play in Hartford when I was over there in 1989 (or might have been 88?)

Waaay back in the day, my hometown was the AHL affiliate of the Hartford Whalers. Then when Hartford lost it's NHL franchise it got an AHL team I believe. So we became the Binghamton Rangers. Then we lost the Rangers and became The B.C. (Broome County) Icemen for an independent league. We are back to AHL status and proudly represent the Ottawa Senators future...which has to be better than it's present hehe.

Sorry for the long post.

Oh yeah...go Bruins!

Heh, I don't have time to watch hockey because I'm writing a research paper about... wait for it... Hockey. And the Sabres didn't make it this year so I feel no need to go out of my way to watch, and since I don't get versus on my apartment's TV, I'd have to go out of my way.

My stars didnt make it but the playoffs are the time i watch has much has possible. i like how much the players up the intensity. Ive been to a lot a live games and yes the regular tv doesnt come close to live game. But a HD big screen comes close. Just wish i could afford one right now me being a huge fan.

Havent found any NHL playoffs on the hotel TV so far, plenty of the NBA playoffs though.

Yeah, unless you get a channel called "Versus" in your hotel room (it's not very popular), you'll have to look hard to find a hockey playoff game :(

But if you're really interested, here are some games you might be able to get on your hotel TV.
Saturday, 3 p.m., on the NBC affiliate, it's Pittsburgh vs. Philadelphia.
Sunday, 2 p.m., also on the NBC affiliate, it's the NY Rangers vs. the Washington Capitals (maybe, the series could be over before then)

So yeah, you probably don't want to stick around in the middle of the afternoon during your vacation to watch a hockey game, but that's when and where the games are on.

Thanks Petey,
I have to check out of here tomorrow morning, fly back to the UK tomorrow evening, so those games will be out of the question anyway. But thanks for the info

Saw a live baseball game yesterday which was fun.

I'm just waiting for the day after Backlash; can't watch the PPV (long story) so I won't know whether or not John Cena beat Edge to a bloody pulp until Monday. I don't follow hockey that much, and college sports were never my thing.

Thats funny inky you say go Black Hawks. After the sharks series with the Ducks all the Sharks fans were saying has much has i hate the Red Wings i hope they destroy the Ducks.

I was going for Capitals I think Alexander Ovechkin is the Best player to watch. Sydney Crosby no slouch either. And Proved he can hang with Alexander even if he not quit has exciting. But over all even though my mteam didnt make it .This has been a really exciting playoffs. Both top seeds from east and west a re gone. And round 2 had 3 game sevens.

HAHA yeah it makes me seem band wagon-ish, but Sharks fans cant help but be bad.. To try to defend myself i was born in chicago now live in LA/Orange County.. so i try to give Chi-town some love... is till live and die by the Cubs.. mostly die i know haha.. I agree Ovie and Crosby are great to watch most the games this playoffs have been great especially round two, i have no doubt that the rest of the playoffs are going to be great.. proving how awesome hockey is.... one day i hope so cal gets it like eveyone else does.
