I dont wish to cast doubt on this being the actual Actroid, but the last I heard her actuators were still external, and this version well.........they arent!

And last I read they were still some way from solving that problem?

So is this genuine Actroid, or a very good Japanese actress portraying her? I sure hope its genuine but.....................

Hehehe, have seen that so many times. Family used to take Florida trips every year in my youth. Lets just say I learned to appreciate animatronics at a young age

FYI, they are currently re-doing Pirates at Disney World to include Jonny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightly. (or so I hear) ^.^

Already added Depp, adding the other two in time for the third movie next summer.

I mean, not to be overly negative, but am I alone in thinking that actroid a) doesn't do anything Disney didn't do 40 years ago (other than wearing a catsuit!), and b) doesn't come within 1000 miles of passing for human for even a second?

There are about three new actroid videos on youtube. Some of the video is from the exibit in New York. As far as the Pirates of the Carribean, I watched a program interviewing Johnny Depp and the animatronic versions of the cast including J.D. look more realistic than the actroid and have smoother movements
