Tek World comics at mycomicshop

Post by kubrick » Fri Aug 11, 2006 6:16 pm

I'm looking for scans/pics/uploads/ of Tek World from Marvel Comics. I have no knowledge of this series, but my interest was sparked when I found some cover's of the book, particularly issues 3, 12, & 17 at mycomicshop. Take a look, you may be surprised

I have the entire run of Tek World in hardcopy - I think they made 24 issuses. It's created by William Shatner, and they made a couple of direct-to-video/tv movies of it ...
Unfortunantly I don't have any scans from it, but good luck finding it! ;)

Actually, William Shatner first wrote the book "Tek World" and published it in 1990. On the cover of that original book (and on issue 3 of the comic) is the wonderfull Beth Kitteridge. A woman that the leading charactuer Jake Cardigan new years before, well her scientist father created a robot copy of his sexy daughter (to keep some very important secrets). Jake then falls in love with the Beth bot.
In the book, there is a nice chapter about how they question (Jake and his partner Gomez are PI's) question an android repair guy. The way that its writen is great, naked lovely's laying on there backs (yeap there pleasure droids) that require repair as parts get worn out. No not down there.
Anyway, instead of watching the straight to video film, which is not bad, may I suggest that you read the book, much better.

William Shatner probably holds the record for most appearances in ASFR related films and TV. Writing a book that's heavy on topic, too. Coincidence?

Tho I'd like to think so too but what stops me is his recent stints on several network tv series furthest away removed from the future.
He has a strange and sorta broad range.

Yeah. He's had it wide enough that he's had just as many hits as misses. His rendition of 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds' is a example of the dark side of his willingness to try new stuff without holding back.

Go look for a copy.

Better yet, don't. :D

Here in the UK, the great Shatner is currently advertising breakfast cereals!

And over here in America, Comedy Central is holding a roast of him. I would just like to see it just for what kind of stuff they think up. Probably all cleched stuff, anyway, but what the hell. Here's hoping to a drunken guest.

Mike Myers might be a close second.
