Post by tully » Tue Jun 08, 2004 3:57 pm

Just ran across this, but I've not seen anything else on it.

Whomever in this article is getting her undies in a bunch needs to look up "satire" in the dictionary. She then needs to told that the word "gullible" is not in the dictionary. She should then be shot before she breeds.

Regardless of wheter or not it is tasteful, the publicity people are praying for an uproar from such gullible middle americans.

It's just a mediocre attempt at creating a controversy on purpose to drum um publicity for a film whose promise of making a profit looks dimmer the closer we get to openning day.

How else would you explain having badly photoshoped pictures of two of the most prominent female political figures inserted hastily into an already hohum tv spot for a movie?

Controversy... last hope for the studio to break even at the box office.

During an hour's commute through town, I believe I saw no fewer than three billboards for the movie. If it tanks even faster than the producers might guess, it will be a classic example of how the use of instant messaging and such communication allow one audience (every theater, the first night) to view the film and pass their verdict along to every other potential viewer, as soon as the film either sinks of soars.

"Can you hear me now? ... Good! ..... No, not the film, the film sucked!"

Well I've always thought of good ol' Condi as a puppet at the very least so it doesn't really surprise me to see her as an example of a "Stepford Wife" :D

I saw the ad in question on TV last night. It isn't subliminal at the least. It is right in your face. Some one needs to teach that tv station and that woman what Subliminal really means. I know it doesn't mean that you see it, plan as day.

But I did see the item in question. I thought no big deal about it. Forgot about it already.

Besides, "subliminal advertising" never truly existed.
