Two sightings

I happened to catch TWO different instances of fembot-related activity on television this week. On Monday, The SpikeTV animated show "Stripperella" had a scene where a robot duplicate of the main character was introduced by a pair of scientist-type guys. Later in the show the duplicate distracts the villain and of course shorts out and blows up.

The second occurrance was a bit more odd. The "Today Show" had a 'future' theme on Wednesday morning {for sweeps no doubt} and Ann Curry was dressed as what looked like an 'Ann Droid'. Yeah, I hate puns too. I only caught a few seconds of it, and since it is a live daily show there probably isn't a chance of a repeat, but I just wanted to let you all know what was out there this week.

How exactly was she dressed? Was she wearing some kind of special makeup?

Before it gets too late, you might want to call your local NBC affiliate and see if they can get you a copy of that broadcast. Sometimes they recrod stuff like that, but they usually don't keep it for long if they do. Otherwsie, if you go through the network, it can cost major $$$.

From what I can tell: it is both Ann and Katie Couric wearing futuristic, silverish, monochromatic attire. It looks like there is a segment where they created a CGI android reporter, and through camera tricks put Ann's face on that CGI model. Still trying to garner more info, but I'd rate this one as not a "must-have."
