Most of you are probably already aware of this; but lately there's been this trend of people using the word "clanker" to refer to robots. The term originated from the Clone Wars animated series, and has seen a sharp increase in usage on social media as robotics technology has advanced. Other people have also come up with new slurs such as "wireback" and "cogsucker" as well.
I've been curious to find out what the community's take on this is. Have any of you started using these new "slurs" in your own works? Is it all just in jest, or do some of you think this actually needs to stop?
What do you guys think about all this?

Re: The "C" Word
Hi there!
Nope, i never heard „Clanker“ before. Sounds like plumbers slang to me but without the context i would have no clue what it is about.
I also never heard „Wireback“ and „Cogsucker“ before but i easily get their meaning. And i like them, especially the latter.
With kind regards
