Re: Students Fooled By Computer Teachers Assistant.
They important sentence is this:
Ms. Watson will be able to answer 40% of all the students’ questions
That means, the computer answers all the questions it sure understands and calls a human assistant for help for all complicated matters. This is how expert systems work.
In which style of speech the computer answers in contrast isn't important though the article focuses on this. It may answer in fine-chiseled poems. That's just querying a database when the key is known already

It is an "expert" system, not an intelligent robot or program. It couldn't pass a Turning test or even come close to it.
