There was a Robot/Furry/TF story I read years back that I've been looking for to re-read.
A female engineer built a company making furry/anthro robots, that may have had sneakers for feet with gears on the side(if I remember the details correctly). For some reason they were considered dangerous, and her home/factory was attacked, but she escaped with her robots. They end up transforming her and one of the soldiers that attacked into robots as well, after the soldier had a change of heart.
I've searched, but have been unable to find it anywhere....
