Spaz, *PLEASE* post links or further identification for each video you post screencaps for, now and in the future!

If they are from youtube, vimeo, or similar, please include the the link on the screencaps page (and preferably also the director, main actor, or something else, just in case the link goes down).
Otherwise, please post the full and correct video title, and also IMDb reference, or director/main actor name, or series and episode number/title, or even filename and folder on the FC FTP server... or at least something that will allow positive identification of the video, so that interested users can find and download/torrent/purchase it!!!

Otherwise, what's the f**k is the point in posting screencaps at all?

For example, can you imagine how difficult it might be to locate the short film you've just posted screencaps for, knowing only that the title is "Emma"?
Vimeo brings up 46,000 videos that match the search term "Emma", and 739 that match "Emma short film"... assuming it's on vimeo at all, which is just a wild guess.

It's clear you put a lot of effort into screencapping, and that is most certainly appreciated... so please don't spoil it by leaving out the most critical bit of information we need!

hyper indeed, demand a new standard! and yell at someone to get them to volunteer more effort. I'd love to see how that works out for you in RL. Pay Spaz better, then you can make demands.

Jeez, I'm only asking for a link or a name or something, so people can reliably find the video being 'capped.

Considering the effort Spaz takes to make all these screencaps, I hardly think that's excessive. ~15 seconds of typing, compared to however many hours making and posting the images!?

And, I'd assume also that most of the value in having screencaps on FW is that someone can come along, look at them, and say "Yes, I want to watch that"... Which is hard to do if you can't find out what "that" is.

I do apologise if my previous post seemed like a rant.

I will start posting the links on the gallery page if you like, but you can also find the links in the Youtube Finds thread in the Reports category, since that is where I typically find these videos and post the links to the ones I find. Furthermore, I always upload my videos to the ftp.

Thanks for posting that link Spaz - much appreciated.

I hadn't checked the reports thread, I admit, but I do still think the links (or whatever other info identifies the video) belong together with the screecaps.
People may potentially be browsing the FW many weeks, months, or years from now, so leaving that info in a forum post (on a different website even...) doesn't seem like a very good way of organising your work!

(Also bear in mind that videos can disappear off sites like Vimeo and Youtube, which is why more info than just the Youtube link is usually a good idea).

I'm giving myself a well deserved CPU upgrade soon, going from the Core i7-4700mq 2.4GHz to the Core i7-4910mq 2.9GHz.

Anyway, I'll be using the extra juice to help me give the Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles gallery a much needed update, as well as sorting everything out there. I must say, I was surprised by how few screencaps have been uploaded from that show, but rest assured, in the coming weeks, it will soon be complete and sorted.
