Now you've made me sad... it would be awesome if everyone was always talking about archaeology

That said, though I don't have any strong interest, I also don't mind the omnipresence of sports that much. Mass societies need psychological substitutes for small-scale inter-tribal warfare to retain stability.

You aren't the only one. That's why I (playfully, teasingly) called these guys nerds earlier. Perpetuating the stereotype and all. I proudly belong to a softball beer league and a flag hand egg league as well as a league of guys who have no business being on ice skates at our age and physical level that play hockey. I even look the part of the prototypical meathead, I just happen to have a lot of things in common with my geekbro's here
