Why always robot buddy cop shows? I'd rather have this show than not have it, but it's a concept whose corpses can be piled along the streets of Hollywood.

Maybe J.J. Abrahams wants the opportunity to test his industry juice by doing a show based on a concept that has been tried (and failed) several times before (Mann & Machine and Future Cop come to mind, not to mention Total Recall 2070)

I'm not sure, but I don't think he's had a series produced by him flop (yet) and this might be his way of saying "I've made the android buddy cop" tv show concept work... I'm THAT good. Where's my billion dollars?"

I had such high hopes for that show, as it had Major Dad on it, and he's good.
