What clothing is the most "robotic" to you?

Post by Saya » Wed Jul 11, 2012 9:53 pm

I know that usually we save this for deeply philosophical questions of self-awareness and the role of fembots in the coming techno-flashlights-everywhere society we are doubtless to soon be living in and wanted to tell you that this has nothing to do at all with that.

The question is rather simple! What sort of clothing would you say most befits a fembot? Like if a girl is wearing something in a movie, do you start suspecting she's a 'bot? I have several of the more common types in my poll, but if you have your own comments (or just want to tell us what you think she would be wearing) go ahead and tell us all why! If you want, I mean.

Remember! This is for fun! It's your opinion. If you think the mascot costume of the Baltimore Ravens best fits a robot girl, well good for you!
"If the time should ever come when what is now called science, thus familiarized to men, shall be ready to put on, as it were, a form of flesh and blood, the Poet will lend his divine spirit to aid the transfiguration, and will welcome the Being thus produced, as a dear and genuine inmate of the household of man."

I put "jumpsuit", but thinking about it more, I should have clicked "other"- catsuits. Skin-hugging and shiny. Aw yeah.

I put Women's Business Attire but I actually picture more things along the line of uniforms. Hell, I'm sure the Stepford sundresses might even qualify as another category or we could just say "formal/evening" for those that like a classy bot.

For me, it's any case of an android/gynoid wearing the same outfit almost every day...sort of like a uniform. In The V.I.C.I. Diaries, I always picture Vicki going about her business at SJSU while wearing some variation of the following outfit:

A red shirt, either long or short-sleeved
A white tank-top (or similar non-shirt) over the red shirt
A red skirt with a white belt (alternatively, red shorts with the white belt)
White tights (or leggings, or whatever they're called)
Red shoes/boots.

It's meant to invoke her costume from the original show without being as....unique.
Elvis Lives. Not in this timeline, but in quite a few others.
I am a traveler of both time and space, to be where I have been.

How about NO CLOTHING ! ? !

Unfortunately she's not a robot but this is one of the most ROBOTIC scenes of all-time! It's easy to imagine she is a fembot ;)

Oh God! The nostalgia! I remember my dad letting me watch this as a kid when it came out on HBO. Space vampires and bush! I thought I had hit the lottery. Had to promise not to tell my mom that he let me watch it though.
