First and foremost, I would certainly encourage her to go for it. If she has the time, the energy, and the creativity to create a nice portfolio of robot images, she'll definitely get a following. She's a very pretty girl (and even if she weren't, this group is extremely supportive ... it's the thought that counts!).
As for specific ideas, since she intends to ask people to pay for this stuff, she's probably going to have to take her modeling in a pretty adult direction pretty fast. If that's not her intent, I apologize for that assumption. But there is a pretty broad spectrum of how far she could go ... it really doesn't have to be porn to get the attention of this little group, but probably would have to cross that line to attract a broader audience. Anyway that's not for me to say. My assumption is that she'll have a modest budget, at least to start, so here are a few things she could try that wouldn't cost her too much money:
1. Take pictures of herself posing or acting like a robot in "normal" clothes. Many ASFR fans like their robots to appear like normal humans so she'll have zero cost for costumes. With still photos, she can attempt classic mannequin or robot poses, and/or she can try to focus on facial expressions (the blank stare, the wide-eyed look of shock, the slack jaw of deactivation, you get the idea). It's simply impossible for us to know what she'd enjoy, or be good at, unless she tries it.
2. Select still images from the above list and invite people with artistic talent to PhotoShop them to their hearts' content. A simple "turn me into a robot" invitation, giving good photos to start from, would immediately draw attention and cost her almost nothing. If nudity is something she wants to do, the sky is the limit for the potential interest level.
3. Take things a bit further with costumes and/or makeup. A colored wig, some silver makeup, chrome-colored bodypaint ... again, I have no idea how far she is willing to take this, but if she has the interest (and a good photographer) she can make some great stuff. As for costumes, she can go the cosplay route and attempt to mimic specific robot characters known to this group, or she can do her own thing. Personally I think she can get pretty far with a silver spandex unitard and a pair of knee-high boots, but that's just what happens to float my boat.
If she wanted, she could accept submissions of costumes and wear them by request. It would nearly eliminate her costume budget, I guarantee it!
4. Write. To guys who like ASFR, a girl with a robot fetish is like water in the desert. She can write fiction, or simply blog on how she got into this, what she likes, what turns her on, what she's always wanted to try.
5. Role-play. If she's an amateur: I'd never suggest she make herself available to any stranger who wants to chat online. But if she posted the transcript of something she did with someone she trusts, boy would that be amazing. If she's intending to be a "pro": well, it should be obvious what the possibilities are here.
6. Record audio and/or video. Lots of people would be happy to give her scripts to act out, or she can do her own thing (which to me would be just as interesting, if not more so ... see point 4 above). With videos, she can do everything from the robot dance (hey, everyone is doing it) to robotic movement (played for laughs or done seriously) to close-ups of robotic facial expressions. With audio or video, she can experiment with different styles of robotic voice acting.
That was just off the top of my head ... I'm sure others will have great ideas as well. I'd have to know a lot more about her personal style and what she's trying to create to give advice more tailored to her.
Good luck to her!
