FA Content?
The votes that you have been casting (however few) for the Top 10 and Archive Top 10, have thrown up a few interesting things which I want to discuss. Anything you do say helps me no end.
http://www.synthgirls.com/fa/archive/top10.htm
Firstly though, the Top 10 is ongoing, so if you have the time please vote for you fav FA stamped pictures.
fdroids@lineone.net
OK, these are some of the things that I have noticed.
1 - The pictures I like arn't the pictures you like. I like the ones I am doing now so it is tough, but in the interest of compromise, should I do more like I used too?
2 - I have only ever done two 'face-off' pictures. EVER. They arn't my thing you see. Yet I notice that they are BOTH in the top 3!! I assume this means that you would like more?
3 - The Archive Top 10, which is the chart of most requested pictures from the Archive, is a more......'porny' and contains pictures which I concider simpler, than say the voted for Top 10 or my favs. Why?
The other thing that I have noticed is the sheer number of new members to the group who are sking for large sections, if not the whole FA catalogue. Do you think I sould find a way of posting the entire 20Mb Archive?
please take the time to vote, or idealy post a reply on what you think on these or any other FA matters.
Thanks everyone

Href, I like your work, its subtle, but at times its a little too subtle, I sometimes can't tell what if anything has been done to an image. I myself have always enjoyed seeing attractive women that have just some small indication they are not what they seem. You have done some great work in that vein, really. Though some heavy manipulation where its a little more obvious is okay too... face off's are not really MY main thing, but I do rather enjoy them. But anything that relates to making her a girlbot, even a small bit with a wink, would be cool. Thats my thing at least.

How about conversion pictures? AFAIK, you never did conversion pictures.
Or pictures of exposed circuitry (anywhere on body).
I'm not for the subtle here which, is why I don't spend much time on FA.
The other reason is I've always been more interested in fiction or something like role play.

I agree with UserJesse ... I like the subtle pictures myself. Personally I dislike face-offs, severed heads and limbs, and all that. Also I really dislike when the femot's circuitry is revealed due to obvious damage instead of a neatly removed panel.
If I had one suggestion that could take your artwork in new directions, it would be to place your android girls in a sci-fi setting. I think the pics of an ordinary girl in ordinary clothes who happens to be a robot are very cool, but you could also create pictures in which the girl is wearing something more like a sci-fi costume.
A starting point for such a pic might be a picture of a girl in spandex or one of a girl in body paint. You could then edit as necessary to create your "costume," sort of a toned-down version of what Rick van Koert does on 4F. I'd suggest you start with pics of "brolly girls" from auto racing shows -- http://www.grid-girls.co.uk/ is a great site -- bonus points for showing several indentically-clad robot girls standing together! I also think I have pics somewhere of a Lara Croft model bodypainted silver ... a silver Lara-bot would be pretty nice. Let me know if you want them.
Another suggestion is to add props around the girl -- machines with which she's interacting. Place the girl on a table, in a recharging pod, or simply show her in a pose (standing up straight or bending over) ... the point being to show her connected to some other machine that's feeding her power, instructions, etc. Bonus points if the girl is wearing a blank expression on her face. Super bonus points if the machine to which she's connected is another girl!
Other great props that should be readily available (without even having to manipulate the original photos) include headphones / headsets, mobile phones, and other electronic devices through which she might conceivably be getting her programming. Even a prominent piece of jewelry like a pendant, brooch, or bracelet could be manip'ed into an electronic control device.
Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the ideas Keraptis.
When it comes to my manip, I will only do things that look good to me. Not the same thing as what I like, but what looks 'real'. For example, removing or moving limbs is very hard, and often look obvious, therefore I won't do them. I just can't look at the end results and think they look good. This is why I like nibigots stuff. He has the imagination and guts to do anything.
As for your other points. I don't know what impression you are under as to how I create my images, but I take existing images that I mine from the web, do a little fiddle and then post.
I don't have models, props, locations, lighting or anything else or that nature. I know the stuff on 4F, and I am am as far away from that as could be imagined. That is a totally different league.
My other criteria is HQ large images. Anything other than this will not be used. I have become quite annoying about this.
I hope that answers everything, and thanks for your ideas.

href, it's obvious that you're taking images off the net and doing minor work on them. You didn't seriously think I thought you had Catherine Zeta-Jones stop by your flat for a photo shoot did you?href wrote:I don't know what impression you are under as to how I create my images, but I take existing images that I mine from the web, do a little fiddle and then post.

I'm not saying you need to be even 1% as ambitious as 4F, which is top-of-the-line stuff from an "elite" artist. I was just pointing out that he commonly starts with an image of a woman in spandex or latex and then fiddles with the clothing to make it look futuristic, alien, robotic, etc. You may be selling yourself short on how much talent you have -- this is certainly within your abilities. So is starting with a pic of a girl wearing a headset or talking on a mobile phone or standing near a computer.
Anyway, just some ideas. As I said, I would be glad to share with you a couple of pics that might be good starting points for you, if you're interested. (I'm only offering because in this and other threads you've implied that you're running out of ideas and looking for fresh material.)

Actually we had CZJ round the other day for afternoon tea.
I think I know what you mean, but I have trouble enough finding 'suitable' pics as it is. Be sure that if I ever come across such images, I will swipe them for FA.
By all means send me any images that you think I would like, but I can be very annoying when it comes to which pics I use. If they arn't what I'm looking for then I am sure someone will use them; Nibigot perhaps?
When I said that am running out of ideas, it is true. I am a copier. FA was a copy of RG. RG went and FA has sort of wandered off on its own, to the point where I think it has become irrelevent, and perhaps should end. I used to really enjoy working on big images, but now I just can't be bothered. So I am left finding 'as is' images or ones that need very little work. I feel like I am cheating somewhat, but I am afraid there is no going back. But then again, I get the chance to use FA to help all sorts of people do their thing. What I really want is one of you lot to say, "fuck him, I can do better, and post more than once a month" and start your own site, as I did 2 years ago. Then I would have to fight to keep interest or retire. As it is, I think people are interested simply because there is nothing else?.................Where did that rant come from?
Thanks again for your time.
