I was always more of a Testament guy but Hanneman was top notch.

While I can't say I was ever a fan of Slayer, I do listen to some metal (the non-growly kind) and I know what he meant to the genre. He went out pretty metal, though (if I may borrow a Metalocalypse-ism).
Reality is just a vacation.

It makes me even more sad that this happened as drama was building around Slayer.... such as Kerry King basically firing Jeff while he was sick...
