Promoting freelance artists for future commission projects

Okay, this is just an idea that I got after posting here the links of an artist that I was helping to promote. Since I know a lot of freelance artists out there who don't have that much recognition, I said: why not to post here links to their social networks to see if someone here wants to support them. Is that a good idea?
