I saw this game on the Nintendo 3DS eShop and noticed this image being used as the header for the downloadable retro game:
Realizing what it looked like, I went digging in cyberspace (google for 5 seconds).
The japansese cover for the space shooter game had a cybernetic looking woman on the cover. And I mean, we all know that it sells better with that kind of stuff on the cover
And as a bonus, the japanese arcade flyer was even more detailed and in higher resolution from here:
