Nice work Thurosis! I would have posted the second image as well had I known it would have been so popular!
"If the time should ever come when what is now called science, thus familiarized to men, shall be ready to put on, as it were, a form of flesh and blood, the Poet will lend his divine spirit to aid the transfiguration, and will welcome the Being thus produced, as a dear and genuine inmate of the household of man."

Re: Image Identification - What is this from?
The "comic" in question was a series of three pictures. I have the first and the third, and the second was just the same as the third but with her synthetic skin "transparent". Basically thought that the first two covered everything.

Re: Image Identification - What is this from?
Well, I asked Robotman about this image that I'm gonna post and he gave me the go-ahead so, here's the image:
http://www.nijibox3.com/magical/futaba/ ... 896538.png
I know this image comes from an anime, though which anime, I have no idea, and it doesn't look Photoshopped, either.
If anyone could let me know which anime and which episode this image is from, I'd appreciate it greatly.

PaniPoniDash. The girl is not actually a robot, but she acts very monotone like.
The show is a lot like Azumanga Daioh. Random gags that are never brought up again.

I can help. Episode 10 of Paniponi Dash. A small scene, after Ichijou was in the hall with Roboko (Serizawa).ZeltraxMillenium wrote:Thanks for the help. Now to find the episode where that shot came from...Freaky wrote:PaniPoniDash. The girl is not actually a robot, but she acts very monotone like.

That particular image intrigued me. Bet I could write a story, like that.

Thanks for the help, RoboTomo. I'd LOVE to see a story about an Ichijou robot/After watching a few episodes/before episode 10, I thought that Ichijou was a robot by the way she talked and such. Can't wait to see it/when you get around to it because I'm sure you're quite busy.MisterXYZ (RoboTomo) wrote:I can help. Episode 10 of Paniponi Dash. ok, the text was photoshopped as the black bars and font are all wrong, but that is Scorpio from Star Wars: The Old Republic. She's the companion for the Imperial Agent class.

The text is from a recent episode of Futurama, in which bodies have all been swapped around, and wash bucket is inside Amy Wong.

Seems familiar. I think I have vague suspicion that's from one of the "Armitage The 3rd" videos, but not entirely sure.

That is indeed. I think it is from the third episode or the first.
And I was wondering, where is this one from?

I keep thinking Mezzo Forte, but I have a feeling that's not right.

I have to admit that I'm not a big fan or follower of most Anime so I'm not familiar with this particular one. I did manage to to find one called Parasite Dolls, which had a couple of caps on the Wiki, but nothing for Paradise Dolls Any ideas where I could see more of this?Gorgo wrote:Actually, I think it might be from the first episode of Paradise Dolls. Re: Image Identification - What is this from?
Anyone knows where this is from? Just an illustration or character study?
http://fembotwiki.com/index.php?title=I ... 576724.jpg
The Kanji read 戦闘機械 綾å "Battle Machine Ayako", which doesn't help much. There are far too many battle machines and Ayakos out there and there are no direct hits on the combination. "Project Robot Lady" - forget it.
Found two similar ones in robotman's upload today.
http://fembotwiki.com/index.php?title=I ... 436949.jpg
http://fembotwiki.com/index.php?title=I ... 201657.jpg
I find it neat because it's not overly idealized like most manga/anime drawings. This could be a "real" female SWAT member partly mechanized after suffering from heavy injuries from a previous battle. Ok, with thights that size she will do a standing jump on a nearby roof and shatter steel doors with a single kick. Practical design for working in a SWAT unit. Her hips must be reinforced, too, to match the power of the legs. The mechanic arms aren't overdone, nice, maybe the were just installed to allow her faster and more accurate shooting and having more grip when jumping higher roofs The high-heeled feet in contrary, hrm, well, impractical.

Re: Image Identification - What is this from?
It was something of a spin-off of one of the Bubblegum Crisis series'. Not sure which one exactly. Unfortunately, it's a bit rare as it was not a very popular series. A total of three episodes were made, and I am not even sure there was an English-made version. I managed to find a torrent of the first episode a looooong time ago (back when people used Kazza, I think), but could never find much on the others. Any DVD sets would likely have all the episodes. I recommend only the first two, as the third focuses on an android. Not even sure any female boomers get involved in that episode.rickdrat wrote:I have to admit that I'm not a big fan or follower of most Anime so I'm not familiar with this particular one.
