Looking for critique

Yeah, the inset is placed in such a way that it takes an extra moment to realize there is an inset and the head isn't just pasted onto the image too far down.

I liked character design's and sprites, but the event images were rather limiting and this attempt to expand their utility was less then successful.
I'm abandoning this image set.
