I scout around the web and save pretty pictures that have something about their pose or expression that suggests 'fembot' to me. If I can dream up a vignette to bring the image to life in my head, and if it lends itself to suitable adjustment, then I have a go. Sometimes they take off, other times I abandon them. Some of the sites that I've had successful finds on are:

If you image search these sites you'll find plenty of pirated images: your conscience is your own! I find that paying (not for all these at once mind) is worth it to browse the full collection of images to find that certain something.

Of course there are probably copyright issues etc with producing 'art' from other people's art (stock pics aside) but I figure that our community is small enough to count my efforts on the Wiki as for 'personal consumption'!
