Who the frack has been flooding the wiki with Summer Glau manips?! I mean, yes, it's sad to see the end of the Sarah Connor Chronicles, but that's no excuse to flood the damn wiki with TWO WHOLE PAGES of Summer Glau manips!

Ummm. Wow. I never thought I'd see somebody complain about decent fembot manips at Fembot Central. And of a woman that actually played a fembot at that. From what I understand these were taken from various fansites for Glau and SCC and were not even done by members here. They were salvaged and uploaded at the wiki by a member and one of the administrators. Anyway, that's all I'll say because that's all I know. Also I don't want migaer's thread to go off topic. He's done a lot of work and deserves that respect.

At the risk of offending, I'm going to have to come down on Duke's side on this one. Well, at least on the side he seemed to be on during the original post. I don't really have much room to talk as I have neither the time or the know-how to do manips myself, but for what it's worth most of these Summer Glau pics aren't even really manips. They're basically just the face of an actress who happens to play a robot on tv pasted onto some standard porno pics or gross bukkake image. I realize somebody spent a lot of time uploading them and if that's their thing that's cool, but there's not really anything robotic about the vast majority of them other than the vague idea of the actress playing the part of a robot in a show, and I don't know about you guys but that just doesn't really do anything for me. No offense to anyone intended.

Actually I didn't see what you were talking about, Duke, because I had gone to the "Cameron" article and not the new images. Needless to say, I can understand where you were coming from. I can only think that those were posted there for either documenting a fembot related actress or in the hopes that someone would manip the images further and make them fembots. Otherwise it gets the feeling of spam.

By the way, I took Kishin's cue and tried another manip. I hope to do more in the future, but props to the contributors are in order. Great job Frog and Korby!

Yeah, ok, she's hot. I get that. But if the pictures don't really have any fembot-related content, then why the frack are most of them obvious Photoshops or bukkake images WITH NO FEMBOT CONTENT?! There are other sites for that kind of stuff.

It's like the moment you sees Summer without exposed wiring, you forget all context.

She IS the fembot content.

The "Cameron" nudes go to the Cameron gallery, the Summer nudes go to her gallery.
You can visit the Summer gallery, if you want.
Or not.

If the hardcore quality of some of the images surprised you, perhaps Robotman could put them on a separate page. If he doesn't want something I submit, fine; he's a very reasonable guy.

This argument reminds me of threads which start out about what one likes, and soon becomes about how icky and wrong everyone else's tastes are.

Can someone locate a number of high-quality carbon rods? Nukem needs 'em on hand to quench his pile, in case he gets any closer to critical mass.

Don't worry, a lot of us really appreciate all those Summer/Cameron shots. I'm sure it took quite a bit of time to hunt them down and then nicely arrange them in the two galleries on the board, and I want to personally thank you for putting in all that effort.

Let's just cross our fingers and hope there will be several more seasons of good Cameron material to look forward to.

i have to agree with Duke. i appreciate the pics as much as anyone. they are sexy for sure, but the fact remains that most of us go to the recently added page to see, well whats new. And it has been a bit flooded with Summer Glau pics, NOT cameron pics, not fembot pics. Summer Glau. She is an actress her character is a fembot. She is not content her roles are. if you find pics of situations where she is posing as cameron then go for it, but i say whats been posted arent much more than celeb-fakes. sorry.

i'm going to have to go out on a limb here as well, as beautiful as Summer is, it's not a good excuse to flood the wiki with tons of faked photos of her, i would understand if they were all in the case of her portraying Cameron, but they're not. Another reason i dislike manips is they rarely contain original images, and to a large extend, ppl who do this are basically stealing someone else art(photo) and slapping their name to it without so much as giving them credit for it, not to mention the embrassment said women in the pic must be feeling for being include in something she might otherwise not be into. I perfer to promote original art in any form, i think it's something that needs to be looked at, not ignored cause we're so desparately craving content. Be original, find other means then just taking a pre existing art (which by the way, said manipers can and mostly undoubtly will be sued and jailed for this, since you're technically breaking copyright laws) I'm sure there are sites that offer free stock photos and such, hell of anything use your own pictures, i'm sure there someone out there bout not to care. (haven't ran into one, still, it's worth a shot)

well it does depend on the image, lets say image A was shot of a porn star, that photo is the property of the photographer and the model, now Image A has went on to be published on the net at some point before being maniped, then all rights to said Image A theirs alone and such can't be use or alter without their consent or permission. Now when Maniper turns Image A into Image B with add material, this the direct action of violation of the owner's rights of Image A, assuming the maniper didn't contact the owners for their use of the pic(s), as i seen if they're not being sold most would be ok, others not so much, some even being a jackass to make a point, as long as credit is given for the source material.

As far as time and effort goes into it, yes granted i've seen some nicely done photo manip, the fact still remains, at least to me, that this not a truly original art, this bugs me, because i've had my own art stolen and used without permission before, so this kinda rubs me the wrong way 99% of the time, which is why i try to limit my voice on them. I'm only saying something now, cause i feel that flooding the wiki like that is not a great way to promote things. Hence why i don't post everything i draw on here. Even the some great gynoid pixs i've made before haven't shown up here. I'm not trying ot be an ass to you dale, just think it's alittle too much.
