Looking for Android675 and/or Krepatis

Post by Mare_Vir » Wed Dec 13, 2006 4:09 pm

I have an idea for an android TF story that I would like to start with a friend of mine on the Unending BE Addventure. It actually draws on a concept that was posted here some time ago as well. (Woman gets an android as a present. The android perceives its function to fulfill the woman's desires as necessitating the woman's TF into an android like her.)

My problem is that my ideas for the appearance of the androids and the TF process will, in all likelihood draw heavily from my favorite android TF stories , The Offer, and The Offer, Parts II and III by Android675 and Krepatis, respectively. I am worried that either of these authors may take my admiration of their work in the wrong way and consider it copyright infringement, so I have tried to contact them privately to get their position on what could be considered a derivative work. I emailed both of them. When Kerpatis' email was returned, I PM'ed him here.

Neither have responded.

Does anyone have a means of communicating with either of these individuals? I would like know there position before I take the project further.

Mare_Vir,

My apologies for not responding. I've been pretty bad about checking my AOL mail, which is where I'm guessing you sent it. So, the first I heard you were trying to contact me was when I read this post.

I think I can speak for Keraptis when I say that we would encourage any and all authors who enjoy transformation to write as many stories as they can possibly think of. I think there's a serious dearth of that material in this group - perhaps because less people are into the transformation angle, or perhaps those who are just don't write stories. Either way, I think we'd all love to see more of that material around here.

As for the copyright infringement thing, you don't have anything to worry about. Being inspired by other stories is common, and we're flattered that you liked the appearance of the androids in "The Offer" series enough to want to emulate it.

So, write away! And thanks for the heads up. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

A

As an interested third party evesdropper, I'm looking forward to anything TF, especially if it's in the "Offer" vein. Bring it on!

Thanks for the vote of support, A. I am probably being overly cautious on the copyright issue, but I have been having a heated discussion with some people on the CYOC forum on the extent of copyrights on the internet. I would be a real hypocrite if I started a story and didn't ask.

Since my biggest concern was over the potential derivative nature of the work, I have decided that your consent - as the originator of the idea would be sufficient. As I've said, it will not follow The Offer, per se, but my description of the androids draws on your ideas. I may also draw on the mechanism of TF as well.

I've posted the first chapter on the Unending BE Addventure. The story is called Mom's Android Companion and you can find it here - htp://www.bearchive.com/~addventure/game1/doc ... 64524.html? by adding a "t" to the url.

This is an interactive story, and while I hope my friend Punchbag will join in, it is by no means an exclusive club. Anyone with an idea for the story is welcome

This is fantastic! I apologize for being so late to this, having spent quite a while away from the boards. Android is right, we wouldn't dream of standing in the way of more stories. I hope you are able to put the time in to really get the story rolling along ... very excited to see what you come up with.

Good luck!
