...that I have been slowly working on. Slowly being the unfortunate key word. It will have much the same general theme asmy other story, The Final Frontier. I expect many of the character names (especially Michael Loganov, Aimee, and Morgan) to be either identical or similar to those from The Final Frontier. I don't expect this to have nearly the plot that The Final Frontier did, but I hope that one will reveal itself to me in the future.

Here it is (just the very very beginning):

61 Cygni A-b was, simply put, a larger version of the planet Mars. Since time immemorial it has orbited 61 Cygni A in the 61 Cygni binary stellar system. Despite being less than eleven-and-a-half lightyears from Earth, 61 Cygni A-b has been relatively untouched since humanity made its latest ‘giant leap’ into the heavens. That is relatively... untouched by humanity.

Late in the twenty-first century scientific discoveries allowed the humans of Earth to take their first tentative steps into interstellar space. Overpopulation on Earth spurred much of this new exploration as nearby stellar systems were searched for colonizable planets. Mars itself was being slowly terraformed, but was unable to keep up with colonization demands.

Many had hoped to find a ‘ready-made’ terrestrial planet orbiting the stars nearest to Earth. That solution was not forthcoming as 61 Cygni A-b turned out to be the best candidate. It however would need to be terraformed much like Mars. Due to its distance from Earth, the terraforming of 61 Cygni A-b would need to be fully automated. This process would be carried out by several hundred intelligent, though not quite sentient, androids.
