As I reviewed on Amazon.ca, it's a nice read, but it tended to reflect too much on death and domination for my tastes.

Why does this sound like "Transformation: A Feminist Wet-Dream"? Honestly, the summary sounds like a bad fan-fiction from a Gender Studies class.

At the request of a friend I decided to pick this one up and give it a look. Overall I am happy to see more fembot related material out there that isn't just on this board. Self published books on Amazon aren't exactly what I'd call mainstream but it's a good start.

I have to agree with Kishin that the sex scenes are very well written. They paint a good mental image and have the right mixture of pure sex and coverage of the robot/transformation source materials. There was a good mix of control and emphasis on programming and how it drives desire.

The finished quality is also quite good. I didn't notice any typos or jumped segments that I've sometimes seen on other ebooks. And it's a good step above most of the amateur writing here (my own amateur crap included).

While I found individual scenes arousing, I couldn't find a good character to relate to. Not that it's an absolute prerequisite for a story, but I do generally prefer someone in the story where I can empathize with their feelings. However that's entirely related to my own personal preferences; someone else may find may people to relate to.

I would highly recommend this to any transsexual folks here. I believe that is the target audience and I think it would be very engaging for them in particular. Although a lot of other folks might enjoy it as well.

Lastly I wanted to speak to the 'dark' side of the story, without giving up too much. While it is a little darker than I prefer it isn't as bad as I thought it could be. People have written far darker things here, and you'll see an order of magnitude darker things just watching prime time TV. The average episode of Supernatural or Criminal Minds makes this story look like Matlock. For me it only really affected that 'relatability' aspect I mentioned before.

Is it worth $3.50, probably not. Sure it speaks directly to our fetish but there plenty of 'free' stories here, albeit of lesser written quality. It was a quick read for me; I knocked it out in maybe an hour so not a great deal, but also it isn't going to put you in the poor house either. A lot of folks would probably drop more than that on a fancy coffee or a beer at the end of the day so in the grand scheme of things it's not bad.
