Virus Alert: The Healing Process [Not a story segment]

I hate cold season.

Although I had planned on taking a short breather between seasons five and six, I was rather hoping it would provide an opportunity to get ahead of schedule, so that I could keep a more regular pace from here on out. Unfortunately, that's when some unspecified microorganism chose to invade my body. Its primary mission is still unknown to me, but for some reason, it required me to produce roughly 5000 times as much mucous as I normally do. Predictable results resulted: Headache, nausea, dizziness, sore throat, and worst of all, sleep deprivation (can't effectively sleep if your sinuses keep trying to drown you).

Put all those things together, and the net result was that I had all the energy of a sedated sloth, and the scintillating wit of moldy bread. I'm on the mend now, but this has put me behind on working on Virus Alert. I haven't even had a chance to play Easter bunny with the last two episodes, despite having a pile of juicy material to hide in there.

All the same, I still fully expect to resume posting new Virus Alert episodes by the end of the month. Everything through season 7 is fully mapped out, and a lot of it is fully written in rough draft form. So, fret not, Virus Alert fans: Season six will begin sometime this month.
