I wasn't going to say anything but you're really starting to sound like one of those kids who yell "I'LL GO HOME! I HATE YOU ALL!" then storms out the door, only to return 10 seconds later and yell "I'M REALLY GOING!"... "I'M SERIOUS NOW!", then sticks around to see if anyone will say anything

If you wanna stay, stay. If you wanna go, THEN GO! Go away, move on! Live your life! Just don't waste your time whining about people "don't praise you as much as you want to" NO ONE has an obligation to praise other people's works. Years ago I posted almost a dozen photomanips (they're still in the wiki, I think), each one took me almost 3 hours to make, to get them the way I wanted and yet I got... maybe 2... 3 responses. Did that caused me to go all emo on everyone? NO! Why? BECAUSE I KNOW THAT SEXBOTS WALKING AROUND WITH MISSING PARTS ARE NOT TO EVERYONE'S LIKING! People have different tastes, get over it! You're not the last cookie in the jar, you're not "more important" than anyone here. Stop putting yourself on a pedestal.

I can juggle 5 tennis balls, I can run balancing a beer bottle on my head, my thumbs are double-jointed, and I can move my ears (FOUR talents! )

1) Glad Mirage found a place to get community with his stories. That's valuable. Congrats!
2) Sorry this place couldn't be it. I've been lurking (and contributing, once in a while) since the old days, so it's sad to see any old hands go.
3) But I kind of see why; there are some people here I respect, and other's whose talents I respect, but I'd be afraid to be caught on the same street as them after dark :>. I'd write more if it was a community, but instead it's more of a "I'll share some of the things I find or make in the hopes it inspires others to do the same." Then I pick and choose from that.
4) I think anyone who has contributed as much as Mirage has deserves to be able to say farewell when they leave.
5) Even were it true that a long time contributor posting how they are leaving because they don't feel the place is a good fit anymore is sad, it's much sadder to take the time to criticize them for it. I'm a bit disappointed. It sounds like people are saying "You should feel honored to contribute, and I'm offended you're not, and if you don't then leave!" when what a less selfish, less entitled person ought say is "So long, but thanks for all the fish."

I wanted to say something but nevermind. I just want this shitstorm to go away so we can go back to posting stuff and yes, being a community. I feel connected to people here and I really think this thread's reached it's limit, especially since nothing positive is coming out of bashing back and forth.
