The V.I.C.I. Diaries: Technical Difficulties (not a story)

Well....here I am.

First thing's first: the next story will be titled "Falling Away" instead of "Things Fall Apart", due to the latter title being a jinx and the former title sounding cooler.

Secondly....."Falling Away" has been delayed---due to me switching to a new PC, and said PC having a memory problem that needs a minor repair job to fix. Nothing serious (and DEFINITELY not as bad as a hard drive failure), but enough for a 24-48 hour delay in writing....which just SUCKS no matter how you look at it.

Still....don't think that I'm throwing in the towel, 'cause I'm not.

Yes, I'm sore that more people didn't comment on "For Whom The Bell Tolls", but that's not going to stop me from seeing this through to the end (of the season, for now). Memory errors, beep codes and waiting for the repairman are all part of the package when getting a new PC...

...and when "Falling Away" does hit the forum, rest assured: it WILL rock you.

I feel like there's something missing here, some metaphor describing how we will be rocked. A tropical storm of some variety?

And don't worry about the number of comments, just keep on writing! Some of us really don't check in as often as we should

Right, sit-rep time: "Falling Away" is up to the 40s in terms of the page count, and I'm making good progress. That's the good news.

The bad news: I have a family member in hospital, and I've gotten eight hours of sleep over the course of two consecutive nights. Needless to say, that tends to have a rather detrimental effect on progress.

Make no mistake, I WILL have The V.I.C.I. Diaries: Falling Away posted soon. Exactly how soon remains to be seen...but it will be posted. Right now, I need to deal with all of the insanity in my personal life before I can think about the last two stories of "Season 1", so....yeah.

Let me ask you people a question: How many of you still care about The V.I.C.I. Diaries?

Baron, TW, WilloWisp, LongTimeLurker, Kishin, Fection, Saya, DarkRexx, Minkwheel, Section_Eight, propman, Spaz and (last but DEFINITELY not least) DollSpace have replied, given me ideas, commented on my stories and generally given me every reason to continue...but the last story I posted, "For Whom the Bell Tolls", got only ONE comment. Now, I'm struggling to finish "Falling Away" with my father still in hospital, and nobody bats an eyelash.

To say that it's a bit disheartening is putting it VERY mildly.

This isn't me saying I'm giving up---because I'm not----and this isn't me saying that I'm canceling The V.I.C.I. Diaries---again, because I'm not. What this is, basically, is me asking that everyone who's been interested in my work PLEASE continue to show support. And as for Mirage---nothing against you, mate, but it's kind of hard to keep pace when you post one story in seven or eight separate threads.

Sorry for the double post, but it has to be said---I'm at a crossroads here, people.
