So I've been reading through the various stories archived here and on a few other sites, and I've noticed a few basic outlines:

Lesbots = fun

The first thing a guy usually does with his new sexdroid is jam his cock in her mouth.

The vast majority of sex happens in the cowgirl position, with doggy style a distant second.

Of course there are notable exceptions, but I feel confident 90% of the stories ever produced follow those guidelines.

Now these are some trends that I've unknowingly followed myself. I favor the cowgirl position myself because I find it aesthetically pleasing, but also because my stories always feature fembots with superhuman strength, so the dominant role seems natural. I was just curious if anyone else had noticed these trends, and why you other authors utilize them in your own stories?

There is something to what you say, sure... I don't know if I can say much about all of the points you raise, except there does seem to be a pattern there...

I'm new here. I don't see myself as a robot fetishist. I tend to prefer plot, setting, character development, and interesting concepts to sex romps, but there are exceptions.

Fembots who are passing as naturals in bed would have more-or-less the same abilities as naturals in bed. Fembots who are not passing as naturals in bed, who are known to their partner(s), would have other abilities.

These could include:

Additional erogenous zones, perhaps in the lips, tongue, belly button, mid-thigh, or sensitive spots on the back. This would affect kissing at least as much as oral sex.

Removable or retractable dildoes, themselves erogenous zones. Either she could plug one into her clitoris, or she could extend her clitoris. The same goes for the mid-thigh- though it may be too awkward for scissoring.

It would rarely help to use 20cm plug-ins/strap ons if the same sensors fit in 5cm plug-in/strap-ons. Fembots optimized for other fembots needn't worry about size...

No pain, no mess, full sensitivity, same lube system in back as in front.

No mess. There's no reason to drain the fluid tanks every time, if they use non-stick toys. It may help to use some fluid to lube before sex, but not to dump excess fluid after sex. Fembots optimized for other fembots could have non-stick organs as well.

Stealth. A fembot could orgasm in secret, without engaging the expression routines, without thrashing and moaning each time. Two fembots could play with each other, even just narrowcasting orgasm sequence numbers to each other, without touching and without showing.

Another possibility, not really sexual: dreaming. The human mind does best with REM sleep. A fembot mind might do best with an equivalent. The fembot body might work fine 24/7 as long as it's plugged in often enough, so the same chassis might include a converted human mind, which runs the body 16-20 hours and dreams 4-8 hours, and a limited robot mind, which runs the body for 4-8 hours while the converted human mind dreams. (The story possibilities boggle the mind!) (Also, 4-8 hours of dreaming, with memory logs, could make the fembot more creative than most humans)

Okay, as far as I'm concerned:

Turn-ons: lesbian sex, creative new options. Fembots going beyond their programming, usually but not always becoming more human.

Turn-offs: hetero sex, gay sex, malfunctions, loose panels for the sake of loose panels, maids' uniforms...

If the story works as fiction, I don't mind being turned off. But if the story only works as porn, and I'm turned off, I'm not getting anything out of it.
