Wow. I've never looked at second life, but if there is this type of functionality in the game, it might be worth looking into.

Thanks for pointing me to a possible outlet!

Whoa, thanks for the link, Kishin!

There's also a place called Skara Brae. They've got plenty of Android stuff there!
If it is possible for man to love machine, is there any way for the machine to love him back? I'd like to think so.

what is the difference between IMVU and second life? I felt like SL is impossible to make a cute character.

Oh that's not necessarily true. You just need to go to the right people.

IMVU is SL lite. It is room based rather than world based, set poses instead of walking. It is easier to make cute characters in IMVU.

IMVU also seems to take less resources than SL.

I have been in SL for over 5 years now, and have seen many changes happen. It is indeed very possible to have adorably cute avatars.. heck I have seen vocaloid ones that are sooo cute!

It is also a great place to play out RPs and fantasies that are not normally possible in real life. For example removing face panels from your lover and disassembling their arms and legs.

Some drawbacks to SL are the fact you need money to make said cute avatars.. it is very vid card intensive and has a habit of lagging but i have had fun there for many years .

I am indeed the dread Kira Scott also known as "Six" short for SX-069 owner of Inside Six and kishin is way too kind. But thank you for your support. I noticed there was a serious lack of things for our fetish..cyborgs everywhere even clockworks but nothing for android play only a handful of creators do anything. So i decided to change the venue of my shop to share the things i had begun to create for props in my own "RPs".

Some things to come will be control panels that use Restrained life and my personal favorite that I am working on dismantled arms /legs.

I'm in SL for 3 years, i create robot skins (not faceoff but thats a good idea), I know a lot of cyborgs willing to roleplay. Maybe we need to know each other here because in world is more difficult to find people alike.

It can be done. This is a prototype of a android based off of recently introduced new avatar layers in SL and lots of careful primwork...

Image

It's not as visible without lots of inworld camming, but there are actual semi-exposed electronics here and there in it  And yes, I've been doing chibi androids for a long time, but this is the first one that threw 90% of the standard avatar mesh out in favor of primitives and sculpts xD

EDIT: Just as another heads-up, XStreetSL is closing for no apparent reason on Oct 6 2010 in favor of some newfangled downgrade (yes, I call it a downgrade - that's my feelings on that matter!) , so I'm not sure if you can still get Inside Six out-of-world after that date. You WILL, however, probably still be able to get Inside Six stuff inworld with a little mature/adult-rated searching...
