New TV Show in Japan Coming Soon, with gynoid

Credit to roboko website as always for the heads up.

Takanashi Rin will be playing the part of a gynoid in a sci-fi
TV series starting in July on TVTokyo. Scheduled for 24 episodes.
Keep in mind 99.9% of these kinds of shows are 1 season gigs.
But also that no matter how crap the ratings, usually the whole series gets aired (unlike the USA)

So, it'll probably show up on DVD in late Spring 2011. (Wish I'd just kept it to myself until then? sorry)

If it gets popular, there might be raw torrents or even subbed through sites like d-addicts as they come out.

Title is Uchu Inu-sakusen (I think), which translates as "Dog Space Mission", and is almost exactly the same title given to Star Trek-TOS in Japan "Great Space Mission", except one single extra dot turns "Great" into "Dog". Make of it what you will.

Optimistic outlook: bet it's a comedy, and comedy means people AND gynoids acting funny. Maybe this will be Japan's Pluton BRB Nero? Though the chances of any Japanese girl matching up to Lorna the Gynoid's attributes are near zero.

Will keep an eye out, since I don't live in Tokyo, I can't watch it
unless it gets picked up by my local broadcasters.

The gynoid doesn't appear until a bit after the 12:00 mark.
But she's an ex-combat-droid and I like the outfit.

I can't get kickyoutube to download the episode, as the button to download seems to be gone. Has it changed?

To download i just copy and paste the link into realplayer SP and download it that way into a .flv file then convert it with realplayer converter into what I want.

Crap.
It looks like they will only upload the first episode on Youtube. The second ep aired last night in Tokyo (I don't live there) but the website doesn't indicate they'll be putting it on Youtube, and the TVTOKYO page on Youtube doesn't have it yet.

Guess I'll have to wait for DVD sometime next year, maybe.
There's a good chance the show will be on in my area with a few weeks delay, but I don't know if it'll match my schedule. No way I'd be able to cap ALL 24 planned eps, or if I want to even try.

I did it for Sakura 2-Go, because that show was only 8 eps, and it was ABOUT a gynoid (and a hot one, with near nude-scenes)

Oh well, I'll keep an eye out.
