Not bad.

All of those were pretty good. The 4th and 5th one were not enjoyable, though.

Yipes! The way the econmomy is going, this just might be the future of job interviews. Talk about "process of elimination"!

Poor girl. He switched her off just because she had more guts than any of the humans!

He switched her off because she wasn't human enough. Real humans are supposed to fail the tests. The final Russian roulette test (just to get a job!) was final proof that she just really doesn't act like a human would, even though in Japan, getting a "good job" and passing exams is still the only purpose in life for many people (or at least their parents)

The fact that she was not accepted (fusaiyo) even though she "passed" every test was what sent her into a bit of a meltdown at the end.

As usual, my Japanese translations are 90% guaranteeed to be 75% accurate at least 50% of the time.. ;)

If only they put subtitles in the story. It was enjoyable; it reminded me of "The Twilight Zone" and its twists.

Now all that is left is to find the other Yo Mino episode that fembotwiki had screencaps of.

Yes, I got that.

Still, you have to give her programmers some credit - she seemed almost as freaked out and confused by the tests as the human applicants, but managed to handle it all with superhuman self-control ... until they rejected her, that is.

If I were an employer, I'd take that woman over any of the other applicants, robot or not.

...Then the labor unions would sue me for every dime I was worth...

Hmm, okay, maybe it was a good idea not to hire the android girl.

I never quite got an answer to the bigger question of whether the other participants in the exam were robots. Was she the only robot and the test was specifically set up to see how she would react, or were all the participants robots and she was the only one that 'failed'?

Sorry if this was posted in any of the previous finds topics, but with the new Star Trek movie out tomorrow I thought this would be appropriate. A clip from the classic episode "I, Mudd":

Ha ha ha! It's a robot world after all!!

Now, sadly, I don't speak Japanese. Did that commercial at the end say that 90% of the population was made up of robots?

You'd think they'd offer a little more variety ....

The commercial actually says that 90% of the males are single in modern society (so that they need fembot companions...)

I actually thought the whole story is about guy androids, but I really liked it near the end. The mother robot looks really hot in black tights in the commercial. Though, having every pair of robots look the same is quite disturbing.

I found this just by chance, but I actually remembered seeing this when it aired. Anyway, it's an infomercial for Phillips CD-I and there is a woman who plays a computer program called "Help" and acts very robotic. Too bad she isn't dressed sexy. The time of her appearances follow the links.

I found the episode where Rommie gets run through with a pole. Screencaps are on the wiki. The episode is Season 1 episode 22 and it continues onto Season 2 episode 1.

Below's season 2 episode 1 in German . I'm still looking for one in English, as well as season 1 episode 22 on youtube.

Enjoy.

Not that great, but hey, it's something! I just wish there was more to it:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4rSPK6Y544

And here is that episode of Wicked Science in spanish:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbtrEpwAWzs

Be sure to check out the side links to get the entire episode and there are also some other good links there as well. Don't forget "munecas" is spanish for "dolls" so there is some content there as well.

It's like a Xena fembot with super-hairy armpits! I assume she was meant to be used like a Trojan horse device. Wonder if it worked on the intended victim.
