Well it's cool that the clip is real, but personally I'd be suspicious of signing up on that website - a lot of the 'preview' images have been floating around the net so I'm not sure they're from real vids.

I can tell you that I've seen some clips with the other girl (that apparently has clips on that site) so it may all be real as well, but I'm going to at least wait a little and see before I consider putting my money down for that.

On the plus side, it does seem like the freezing isn't half bad (if you're into that).

I don't speak or read Japanese, so the website did not have much more info for me than the youtube video.

If you do a search on "僕の彼女はサイボーグ" - which is the portion of the title on the youtube video in parenthesis, you will get some more pages. The title is something like "My girlfriend is a cyborg", although it looks as though she is actually a robot.

anyway, looks like it will be worth torrenting, or it may even be available commercially here.

It open in theaters in Japan on May 31.
Then probably the standard window until DVD release here in Japan.
Who knows if it'll be released outside Japan (maybe Korea, the director is Korean, I think, if it goes well, probably other parts of Asia)

It's probably high-profile enough to get subtitled and torrented eventually.

If it only pops up as a Japanese torrent, I'll let you know if I find it.
But that's gonna be a few months from now.

Well, the website makes it a very elaborate parody. It's so on target that it's funny...but the fact that they're playing it so straight inevitably leads one to suspect a bizarre marketing campaign for an as yet unrevealed product. Uh, a feminine product, of some kind? Cap it all off by saying "You're perfect just the way you are, use Always?" I haven't any idea...it's very bizarre.

Fortunately for us, people who work at advertising agencies have way too much free time on their hands. Oh, and MAGNIFICENT Find!

...maybe even an independant film? Nah, too much to hope for...

The JunkYard Robot was very good. And if you stream the Maid Robot pic, you might see somethin disturbing for a split nano-second.
