I agree with robotman. If the privately produced stuff keeps kitting the FTP, the studious might stop making it.

Small studios have always been kind of a fence for me, on one side you understand their prices and reason behind it, on the other its still hard to accept. I don't think there should be anything against clips from material of small studios, specially ones that don't provide any previews.

I'd have to agree with Robotman. If anything, it's the 'little guy' who is hit hardest by filesharing. I know this from experience...

Just bought Clips 4 and 5. Apparently they're the best selling on the site, probably thanks to us.

I can't say I'm completely, vehemently against putting them on the FTP, eventually: 30 dollars US for less than ten minutes of footage is, I'm sorry to say, something of a rip-off. Most of the people who don't buy the clips right away are probably never going to buy them. And it's your typical hypno-style video, so I don't think we can ever hope to see much better from the producer/director/narrator/hypnotist, regardless of our lucrative feedback. But I will give kudos to the guy: unlike most hypno-producers, he had the courtesy to edit himself out of the frame! That alone is worth sending some money his way!

I agree on NOT posting the clips from the small producers.

Thye should be the ones to control ALL aspects of their work, including the choice of whether to post preview video clips or not.

Posting preview clips might get some people to buy, but it also might leave some people satisfied with just having the preview and too tired of getting burned spending money on ASFR stuff that just isn't worth it.

Not posting preview clips might make some people more liekly to buy, and other people more suspicious of the quality and less likely to buy.

Also, indie prodcuers should be putting some kind of individual marker on each DVD or clip so they can figure out who illegally distributed their material.

On the other hand,I HAVE seen some pirated clips from small prodcuers. They mostly made me glad I didn't spend money, because they usually suck. Terrible acting, shaky camera work, people coughing in the background, ugly chicks, or chicks who aren't really chicks.

Figuring if people were interested they could purchase and i agree with robotman as well by people uploading purchaseable clips for others to get free takes away from these small companies to make the vids... I do plan on speaking with this guy in hopes of making a new vid. but don't hold your breathe last time i spoke to someone from diff site that wanted my ideas for new 2 girl robot video just up and disappeared with no more contact.. but now that i see he too has new vids i might contact him as well to find out if we can still work on that video together

I agree with some of what you said andoroido.
My problem with your response is that to me you seem to be on both sides of a fence.
To me it's rather simple,if you are going to produce something for a particular interest (which by the way I doubt the producers of the above knows anything about ASFR) the least one can do is provide a preview in order to generate interest. On the other hand,if someone clearly associated with our group or at least otherwise indicate that the material is aimed at robo fetishists produces some material, then I'll be firmly against posting.
Even so,I still say a decent preview should be provided. You said alot when you mentioned about being burned by sucky material. If one of us did purchase and was dissatisfied the courteous thing to do would be to warn all the rest while providing a detailed review. One thing I'm confused with is all this talk of spoilers when for as long as I've been seeking ASFR material it is precisely because of a good detailed review is why I'd buy in the first place.
Hey,if there is material that happens to have ASFR elements in it I say post it. How do we know if the other non ASFR material isn't being posted for others interested?

Just to add my 2 cents and I want to clarify this is speculation, but I'm almost sure that the producer of those videos was the owner of a site called hypnofun which apparently ripped off several of his customers. Again, I'm not 100% sure of this. I read about that issue on the hypnofocus boards a couple of years ago. This is an old post from Aaron/hypnofocus where he informs that he bought the domain hypnofun.com:
http://web.archive.org/web/200512252021 ... post_id=30

and this is the disclaimer page he put when he bought the domain:
http://web.archive.org/web/200505021238 ... nofun.com/

P.S: WOW I have edited this post 3 times because I managed to find a lot of information with just a couple of clicks on the wayback machine:

This is the archive page of the site eroticized.net (a hypnofun.com spawn) where he offered the free videos as a way to "apologize" for the mess at the old site. He even offered a free video each week (which wasn't true since he posted only one):
http://web.archive.org/web/200412171204 ... pnofun.php

Once more, I'm not sure if this is the same guy, maybe someone here can remember more on this...

Aw, damn it, Araenae. Ripped off how? I'm glad to have the clips, but now the joker has my credit card number.

Well, whatever. Anyone else willing to buy them can put them on the FTP or not, I don't care. I already did the right thing. I put in my two cents, and then some.

Rest assured Karel, as far as I know vendors of clips4sale don't have access to customer's credit card numbers...

As for the rip off, what I heard is that the guy collected a lot of money from memberships and never updated the site again, then he tried to sell VHS tapes and never send them

Once again, I must clarify I'm not sure if this is the same guy

Er, I just tried dowloading clips 4 and 5 as well. I filled out the form, gave my credit info and pressed the Submit Order button. I waited for the download and…well, nothing happened. The order page just reloaded — my info still there. There was no indication of any errors in filling out the form and there doesn’t seem to be any indication of any download onto my drive at all. Nothing in my e-mail either. It’s been about fifteen minutes now and I’m starting to suspect I’ve been ripped off!!!

GZ02--- when you submit your order it will go to a preccessing page then page saying it was approved with a link to where you can download the clips. if it just went back to order form then no payments came from your card something winthin the form had to have been left out but either way aslong as the proccessing page never came up no money was sent

Just a friendly warning along those lines, I recently tried to download a clip on the Clips4Sale store Chelseasdreams (Chelsea Robot - full version) and received the wrong clip (only the first part).

I emailed Clips4Sale and Chelseasdreams about this problem and after a few days I got a full refund. I suggest you contact them if you have any problems - they certainly seem to value their customer base.
