Well... I remember somewhat the film, having watched it way back in the early 90's.

The "robot" was artificially made but was constructed out of bio-organic parts, which made her more of a clone, at least in theory. What was curious about it is that the scenes I remember where Eve is opened up, there where none of the blinking lights we know and love, only human looking (yet bloodless) muscle tissue. She had the vacant stare and everything while her insides where being fiddled with, except, you know, it looked like surgery with a conscious human subject.

Now that I think about it, had she been a proper android with mechanical insides, it would've been way hotter.

The only mechanical part she had was her brain, which triggered de explosive aluded to in the film.

Now, "Steel and Lace" on the other hand, was a bit better.

There's a slightly different preview clip up on youtube for the Sarah Connor Chronicles. Didn't save the link, but you should be able to find it. Additional scenes involving Summer Glau as Cameron Phillips include a bit where the male schoolteacher (actually the evil termnator) sits behind a desk reading off the attendance list. As he's doing this he's carving open his thigh to pull out a weapon. He gets to Cameron Phillips, she pauses and then says "here". Next is John Rease. He says "here", the teacher responses with something like "excellent", and rises from his desk to shoot John. Cameron gets in the way and takes a bullet or two, and falls to the ground, apparently dead. But of course, she comes back soon enough.

Lisa Nova robot clip

Post by Android675 » Wed Jun 20, 2007 10:50 pm

I'm not sure if a link to this clip has already been posted here, but in case it hasn't:

If you don't count the first half of the video and the annoying guy in the background, probably one of the best robot clips I've seen on YouTube. She has the voice down, and the moves are pretty good, too.

I don't think "Anna Manesia" has ever been posted here, but if not, it's a plot we know all too well. :)

This one's pretty interesting. A bit on the "Weird for the sake of weird" side.

And not a bad ballad either. You have to wonder if she is a member here with a style like that? If not, she should be!
I'm just a 'girl' who wants to become a fembot whats wrong with that?

Beyonce in gold robot suit

Post by robolvr » Wed Jun 27, 2007 3:16 pm

Beyonce performs at the BET Awards. She rises out of the stage in a gold robot suit (a la Kylie Minogue.) The video doesn't do the suit justice. YOu can find stills of it online at Yahoo! Entertainment. Enjoy!

...and now since you mentioned it Kishin....Why didn't 'Perversions of Science' do better?, and why hasn't anyone found and uploaded the 'Boxed In' episode? I know there was a small clip on Luke's FTP some time ago when it was up. It seems like no one has found that missing jewel for the ASFR Nation yet.

Someone knows something about it.....

Kids...as far as SPICY CITY goes....it was ONLY slated to be a SIX PART mini series....and it was produced by one of my IDOLS.... MR. RALPH BAKSHI!! ---the man has a gritty style, and created one of the very first animated series that made me want to be a cartoonist....THE MIGHTY HEROES for TERRYTOONS. --minkwheel
