This entry comes to us from a buddy of mine's blog. I remember getting drunk with him and starting up a conversation about Karl Capek (veering dangerously close to blurting out my preference for the robots), but I had no idea that he had thought any more about it until I was going back through the archives of his blog tonight. Turns out that he wrote an interesting think piece about robots in culture, and he hits on some relevant points to our discussion. He doesn't start talking about sexual matters until quite a ways through, but he then he stumbles upon the possible reason why the fetish is not as mainstream as we would hope. Anyway, take a look:
