When it comes to Ghost in the Shell... I'll buy the DVD instead of downloading it.

A movie, huh? I thought that it would be a 3rd TV series. There are trailers fansubbed but noone's subbed the movie yet. I'll keep an eye out for it.

speaking of which....

speaking of comics and manga transferring into live movies, rumor has it that Christina Ricci (Who played Wednsday on the Addams Family) is up for the role to play the fembot in the live action version of Battle Angel Alita. Here is a little trivia for you, before rumor that Chirstina is in favor of playing the fembot in Battle Angel Alita, she was rumored to play Adrenalynn in the live action version of Adrenalynn. But as I said before, these are just rumors....if anyone can shed light on the casting call of these two movies, that would be great. :D [/i]

I thought that Battle Angel was going to be a totally CGI creation, and that James Cameron was basically hunting for a young unknown with some acrobatic skills to either fill the role or be the model for some mo-cap.
But maybe that was about his other movie in the works, Avatar?

I DO remember hearing a Christina Ricci rumor about Adrenalynn.

But, seriously, both characters are supposed to be pretty young, and Christina Ricci ain't getting any younger.

I look forward to EITHER movie though!

but it is said that she is the perfect height for Alita (states that tiny at just over five feet, Ricci stopped growing when she was ten years old.)....but, that would be a wise thing to get an unknown to play the main role. Look what it did for X-Men's Hugh Jackman and Superman Returns Brandon Roth.
