Happy 85th birthday, robot!

Just found out that the "robot" just got 85. Let's celebrate

"Karel Capek was one of the great writers of inter-war Czechoslovakia. His play R.U.R. (Rossum's Universal Robots) coined the term to describe human-like androids that perform mundane, repetitive labor. In 1921 the play opened right here in Prague and introduced robots to the world."

--I'd top it off with one of those cards that has a cheesy 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU" song soundchip that plays each time you open the card...but I don't have one right handy....it's even more fun when the battery in the chip is about out of oomph...makes the notes sound like they're being played by a robot that partied too hard. --minkwheel

Funny thing... the question/answer of who coined the word 'robot' was on Jeopardy on Tuesday. Maybe someone who works on the show knew about the anniversary?
