Many thanks to the awe-inspiring Alesia G!
Members of The Warren Report are inviited to attend the exclusive premiere party for Alesia Glidewell''s sci-fi short, FutureSyn. The film will screen at 9:30 and 10:30. Before and in between, folks will enjoy complimentary beer, wine and appetizers and the musical stylings of DJ Colby B.
"Set in a misogynist apocalypse, FutureSyn feels like a cross between sci-fi, film noir and B-horror movie fun. With a compelling lead, ample atmosphere and a dash of nerdy comedy, this film will please genre nuts and horny males alike." Jadd Davis, Film Critic, SeattleActor.com

I will be attending. I've got a copy of the invite somewhere in my email inbox. I should have a hard copy soon and with Alesia's permission will get it either loaded so you guys can see it or get a copy off to someone who can load it up.
I was originally one of the cowriters (along with Alesia) but due to my wife's pregnancy had to all but drop out of the project. My son (who was 4 months old at the time of shooting) does appear in the movie.
This is Alesia's first directorial movie (I believe it ended up being a total of 12 minutes long after final edit) and from what I've heard ended up being very good. Alesia also happens to be a great actress, she has some video game credits as well as several commercials for companies that many people who live in the Pacific Northwest and west coast in general would recognize her from.
Anyway, I did mention the interest in this forum to her and I'm sure she wouldn't mind it going out to it's members.

Found this while surfing the net
ttp://badalienproductions.com/Services/VFX/VFX.php
The page has two VERY short clips of visual effects used in Future Syn, with no sound in either clip.
However, in one of the clips you can see a deactived android in the background, and the second clip the actress has sometime of switch in the back of her neck. Hopefully, the rest of the movie will be made available soon...

Okay guys, I've finally gotten my hard copy and will make a copy to send off to noidguy and I'll let him decide about the best way to get it out there. The final product turned out pretty good for a low budget production in my opinion. I'm sure it won't be everyone's cup of tea but hopefully some of you find it enjoyable. Alesia was kind enough to list me in the credits along with herself as the people behind the concept. As I stated earlier my son is also in this film at the very end.
Noid if you wouldn't mind sending me your address in a message here on the boards I'll mail you out a copy as soon as possible.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention...the film is short a bit under 15 minutes I think but there are extras too. Some behind the scenes footage as well as a few deleted scenes, production stills, a directors bio etc.
This whole production started out as a joke between Alesia and I and a colleague while we were shooting a corporate video on location. The original concept was to make an obvious b movie schlockfest with terrible jokes and bad acting. As I stated earlier I pretty much dropped out of the production due to my wife's pregnancy at the time. During the interim Alesia made a ton of changes, keeping some of my original ideas but basically rewriting it as something much more serious than we had originally thought up. In my opinion she did a damn fine job especially considering this was her first time directing a picture. Hope you guys enjoy.

Not sure how she wants to handle that RM, I haven't spoken to her in quite some time. I will have to call and see if she has hard copies available to sell. For now Noid will upload it to the ftp as soon as I can get him a copy ( I should be mailing it off to him either today or Monday depending on my schedule.) I'm not sure what the final production cost ended up being, although I know when we started we had planned on spending about 5 grand on it but I don't know if she raised that much or if she raised more. I'm sure she wouldn't mind making some money back but I don't want to speak for her in this situation. Like I said, I'll talk to her about the possibilty of making hard copies available and report back with any info I get.

(bump) ... any word yet?noidguy wrote:I'll take good care of it. :DKingJeremy wrote:Yeah this is my fault not Noids. I haven't been able to get a clean rip done so I think I'm just going to end up sending Noid the original copy and let him upload it. My apologies for the delay.
