Alright as far as I know there isnt plans for a female version of RS (for short) and lets face it he looks as much like a human as the Honda robot does, but thats beside the point! Why I'm posting this is because of the Version 3 due out in 2007.
Saw this in an article yesterday in a newspaper over here about technology and AI and thought others might be interested.
This was stated by the creator of the original Robosapiens (dont ask his name I didnt save that much of the paper!),
The original Robosapiens was only able to annoy your cat but Version 3 will be capable of doing practical tasks around the home. My latest prototype is 5ft 5ins tall and can walk as fast as you.
Sounds like the field of robots is advancing very quickly, I suspect RS3 will still look more like a suited up astronaut than a human but its a step in the right direction.
The Honda robot, it isnt just a human in an astronauts suit is it?

I'll see this at TOY FAIR this year in February. There are HACKERS out there who have tinkered with the remote for ROBOSAPIENS....and they've let the company in on what they've done.....some of these new tricks are incorporated with the newer models...... it's actually a cost cutting measure when you can have the general populace fiddle and make a better product....... I do hope that the new remotes will be a bit easier to deal with...it was one of the only drawbacks to the original Robosapien ...but it WAS a cool toy for somethng that costs about $20 to make. --minkwheel
