4. Characters
What races and character classes can I play? The character races planned for launch are humans, elves, dwarves, halflings, and warforged.
for those of you who don't know warforged are some sort of fantasy equivalent of robots (they are tecnically golems, but whatever...) :D

Yeah--precicely. I've linked an image of a warforged before, but here's a more in-depth summary of what they are.

Warforged are, as stated, "fantasy robots" created to fight in the Last War, a hundred-year-long conflict among the major nations of the Eberron setting. When the war finally ended (at massive cost), the warforged were discontinued and freed, but they're not very well-liked. There are numerous people who protest their existance; the war's over, they say, we don't need the weapons.

There is, interestingly enough, a number of warforged who are trying to become more like living creatures. The Reforged prestiege class allows a warforged to become a fully living creature, for instance, and the warforged tyrant the Lord of Blades is making his own modified warforged. It's not unlikely that there are at least some attempting to get genders.

I remember seeing a fan-made image of a female warforged somewhere... I'll pop in if I find it.

This is a VERY obsure in the Dungeon magazine (When AD&D 2e was big) Their was a creature known as Clockwork Soldier however it featured a male. The name of the module was "Emeralda (sp?) Bodyguard" in the Mystara (Savage Baronies) realm.

yeah the clockwork soldier was there, but was always male, and the descrition left nobody with a doubt, since it even makes "avances" to female caracters.

a female robot can be seen in "Planescape: Torment" but only as a secondary caracter that cannot join your group. It has a quest on its own where you need to find the "keys to her heart", which are real keys that are used to set her internal mechanisms and personality.
