Anybody seen this ad?

Post by allenjb42 » Thu Jun 17, 2004 4:10 pm

Apologies if this has already been covered, but I remember seeing an ad in a UK computer magazine (PC Format?) about 4 years ago. It showed a husband and wife sitting on a sofa, with their daughter lying on the floor reading a comic. The setup looked like an Ikea advert (clean, bright furniture, wooden floor etc), but it was for some computer hardware, I forget what. The wife was sitting very prim and proper, legs and knees together, hands in lap, but she had no head beecause she was, get this, a fembot! The husband was holding her head in his hands and carrying out some repairs on it with a screwdriver or somesuch. Or maybe she was from Ikea and he was just assembling her?

Anyway, has anyone seen the ad or has a scan and could maybe upload it to the site?

I also had saved this ad a long time ago, but my copy was not so great! They had even cut the daughter out of the picture. At the top corner of the one I have, though, it reads "Pentium Inside!" and was for the Intel Pentium II processor.

Thanks guys. Case closed.

Very efficient work, but I expected as much considering why we're all here.
