BLADE RUNNER 2049

Post by Kishin » Mon Dec 19, 2016 1:55 pm

Okay... This movie did NOT fucking have to be made!
But since they did it anyway. Here's the first fucking trailer!

Ah whatever, I'm in. It has no reason to exist (like the sequel novels) but it looks right. I guess Deckard wasn't a replicant, so let's see what else they got.

They should have totally played this up as a comedy:
Blade Runner $20.49

Replicant Group Therapy Scene

Therapist: Okay everybody, I don't want to see any of those frowny faces here! Let's not think of ourselves as Repli-can'ts! Let's be Repli-cans!

Leon Kowalski: Let me tell you about my fucking mother...

This is definitely one that you never tell your kids about after you introduce them to the original: just pretend it doesn't exist, a la the Star Wars prequel trilogy, Crystal Skull...jeez, a lot of Harrison Ford movies... But, that having been said, it is Denis Villeneuve, who hasn't put a foot wrong yet with Prisoners, Sicario, and Arrival, so as grossly unnecessary as it is it may actually be worth watching.

As someone who recently saw both "Sicario" and "Arrival", as soon as I saw it was directed by Villeneuve I was like "Well, Shit. Imma have to watch this...".

This is definitely a director/cinematographer combo I have a lot of faith in.
