Agents of Shield Season 4
Marvel's Agents of Shield Season 3 just ended tonight, and they just possibly hinted at an L.M.D. project for the next season. L.M.D. standing for Life Model Decoy. The character in the end, speaking with a female A.I. called AIDA, ends the scene with a tease at a female form behind a frosted glass, saying it's her birthday.

Here's hoping they do L.M.D's right on the show.

I wonder if it could be their version of Agent... Cheesecake, I think was her name? You know, the LMD who was essentially a full-fledged SHIELD agent in the comics.

A quote from the article:
"This much I can tell you: LMDs are happening. Specifically, the ABC series at this time is looking to cast the recurring role of Aida, a 'very attractive' robot (because after all, why make a homely one?) who moves about quite naturally but speaks a bit formally, like 'Iron Man's' Jarvis," he teased as part of his scoop roundup for the media outlet.

Re: Agents of Shield Season 4
Doesn't look bad IMO. I've watched the two seasons of Galavant and I think she has the potential.
Now I just hope there's a lot of good scenes. I mean, this is kinda the first time an LMD appears in this show, so I hope the good doctor won't get it right for the first few episodes.
And maybe an inhuman or two can do some damages on her in the later episode?

Re: Agents of Shield Season 4
Well, LMD's--as well as most robots in comics frankly--are made to be destroyed. So, there's a good chance of that.cyberdude wrote:Doesn't look bad IMO. I've watched the two seasons of Galavant and I think she has the potential.

I'm not sure if I'm more excited because of her physical attributes, or her sexy Aussie accent.

Re: Agents of Shield Season 4
So I actually got to see some of the footage featuring Mallory as AIDA (don't ask how), and it's pretty nice. She's only in two scenes in the premiere, but she has this great shutdown look (shutting down twice in the episode); she malfunctions and repeats her "hello" when she is first introduced (nude, then later dressed in the blue bathrobe); and she later calls herself a "shield" to help draw fire away from the innocent, knowing she's meant to act as a decoy. Promising stuff!

Does she speak with her Aussie, or at least a British, accent?

More of a regular American accent, I think.

Re: Agents of Shield Season 4
Definitely! Unfortunately, she won't be in EP 2, but she's mostly in 3 and 4. Some good moral dilimma talk and funny stuff since she's learning how to act human. You get to see her "insides" in EP 4...N6688 wrote:Saw the episodeAnderson88 wrote:So I actually got to see some of the footage featuring Mallory as AIDA (don't ask how), and it's pretty nice. Looks like a nice, long deactivated scene with the eyes open. My pet peeve is when they close their eyes. Why?

EP 7 and 8 has a lot of AIDA action - I'll leave it at that!

It actually makes less sense to leave a robot with its "eyes" open.Kano wrote:Looks like a nice, long deactivated scene with the eyes open. My pet peeve is when they close their eyes. Why?
We blink to get dust and gunk off our eyes, and we sleep with closed eyes not to get gunk in them, and at the same time to give them a good wipe and let gunk fall out of the corner of our eyes.
If you stop using a camera you put a cap on the lenses not to get dust on them until you want to use it again, If the camera has an automatic lid it usually shuts closed for the same reason.
The only reason why phones leave their cameras open all the time, is because it will look like trash anyway, so who cares if you smudge it with your fingers or cover it in dust, you won't notice it with the shitty lenses phones have.
Why would you want a robot to stay deactivated with open eyes?

"purty" doesn't pay the repair bills for lens replacements.

I think her insides must be a bunch of circuits and boards with blue LED lights... Just guessing... Anyway, I think it will be nice

Re: Agents of Shield Season 4
That is probably true in "real life" but on tv it makes the illusion way more real to me. I think it gives the viewer more of a sense that it's a deactivated machine oblivious of its surroundings. Eyes closed just seems like lazy acting. Plus it's purty. Just like face plate removal. I'm not sure if a fembot would be designed and built that way in reality but face-offs are purty too!
