Meet Luna: a Cutting Edge Chatbot Under Development

If you've never heard of this project, it's because they spend every cent on R&D, not advertising. But I happen to know one of the people working on it. Luna can answer questions like Siri, execute programs, tell yo mama jokes, and a whole lot more. You can only see some of her current capabilities in the videos, but she supposedly grows and learns constantly within an architecture inspired by some key parts of the human brain. This is NOT another cleverbot though. Instead of regurgitating conversations in the effort to pass the Turing test, Luna gathers knowledge, constructing a knowledge graph, like a model of reality, and she learns how to use it to help her owner. Her programmers, the folks at Robots Without Borders, ultimately want her to be a personal assistant able to help lift people out of poverty in developing countries. But they're also planning to make lifelike androids/gynoids, and are currently working on an online psychotherapist version. It all sounds pretty far fetched, but apparently a few scientists and heavy-hitting AI researchers, including Ben Goertzel, have taken notice.

You can have your very own Luna when she gets open-sourced sometime later this year if you donate as little as $1 now. I figured I'd give you guys a heads up in case this interests anyone here.
