The wind whistles across a dusty plain... a tumbleweed rolls slowly across the desolate frame. A desert. Vast. Featureless. Empty. It is a ghost town and not a creature stirs, save for a lone figure, silhouetted by the setting sun, metal glinting.
Not a new story, but my apology for being absent for so long from here!
What have I been up to? Well, I shot the short movie I was directing (called "The Lesson") and then got a Discovery Channel gig which took up most of the following six weeks or so. You can see some still image captures and more info from that show here:

Since then I've been busy editing "The Lesson" and doing various other shooting jobs including music videos, commercials and a couple of other short films.
In between all that I've done some more work on "Maria", but there hasn't been too much change since my last major post.
I've expanded my list of dream actresses I'd like to see in the part, have rewritten a bit of the screenplay, made a bunch of chicken scratchings in the margins and come up with several changes which will all lead to an even better film!
Other than that though, I haven't got too much new stuff to report on sorry.
I've got a bunch more concept art which looks fabulous, but unfortunately I can't show it to you as it's confidential stuff (don't want my ideas ripped off as I've got some unique angles on things that I haven't seen in film before that I want to protect).
Rest assured that "Maria" is very much still going ahead. Once I'm done with "The Lesson" my energies will be 100% focused on "Maria" and things will begin to move at a quicker pace.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know I'm still out here; I'm still working on this film and it's getting better every day!
Back to the trenches....

Cheers,
Paul
