This about two different series.
Space Giants(live action)
Ambassador Magma(anime)
In both, there is a gynoid. In SG, she is called Silvar and is wearing silver lycra. In AM, the gynoid looks like she is wearing a red and white lycra suit.
In both there is a kid robot called Gamu.
Of course the main star Goldar/Magma: A giant golden robot.
The robot family all has the ability to transform into rockets and fight an invading enemy from space.
Another Tezuka creation for the most part
I don't know if the manga will ever come over to the states, but hey its out there somewhere.
Tezuka did have a lot of robots in his works

Can't help for the live action.
BTW it's Magma Taishi >_<
However, you can see the covers of the anime DVD/VHS tapes here: http://en.tezuka.co.jp/anime/soft/ma01/index.html
This site(http://www.jamesanime.ch/magma.html) does have one picture of Moru/Mol at the bottom.
