Smart House - Katey Sagal?

Post by livewire » Thu Dec 11, 2003 3:28 pm

Has anyone ever seen this to report if there's any gynoid content?

Here's a brief review I found of "Smart House" with Katey Sagal (aka Peg Bundy):

"The next time Sagal caught my attention, she was starring in the Disney Channel's Smart House, which premiered June 26. Sagal plays PAT (Personal Applied Technology), the super-chip of a computerized house that slices, dices, makes smoothies, cleans up spills, and cooks dinner on request. For most of the movie, Sagal's creamy, but computer-generated, voice is all the audience gets. After a little hacking by the family teenager (Ryan Merriman), Pat transforms herself into a virtual mom, who turns out to be part June Cleaver and part Annie Wilkes (Kathy Bates) from Stephen King's Misery."

The screen shot (http://www.austinchronicle.com/issues/v ... .tveye.jpg) seems to show her looking rather robotic, so I thought I'd bring it up.

Terrible, from my point of view at least. She's not very attractive and not very robotic, and the plot is pretty bad.

The whole movie is a crap in both terms (as a movie itself and in ASFR meanings) the woman didn't act robotic at all even in the 'deactivation' scene (Actually it wasn't a deactivation, she just disappeared). But don't take my word as the absolute truth, despite all, she's an A.I. entity so maybe some of you could find it rather entertaining.

The plot (as far as I remember) is something like this:
A family (Male parent 2 kids male / female) wins or build this 'automated home' (I don't remember very well), The guy lost his wife in an accident, but there's this gorgeous lady trying to date him and the son gets mad about it, so he tried to tweak the AI to be more like his dead mother and that twist into trouble because the AI entity became so overprotective that locks all the family into the house. near the end of the movie they talk with the entity so she agree in freeing them. As you can see, the movie is pretty boring

I may not have ever known about "Smart House", but I do remember an episode of Married with Children called "A Stepford Peg" where Peg slips, bumps her head and loses her memory at the beginning of the episode. Naturally, the rest of the Bundys, namely Al, take advantage of her amnesia and turn her into the perfect housewife/mother.

As a fan of the show, I've always liked Katey Sagal, and in my biased opinion she looks especially good in the maid outfit Al makes her wear in that particular episode.

Thanks for the excellent picture livewire!

Here's another bit of MWC trivia: there's an episode where Steve says to Al, "I will have a Stepford Wife!" when he finds Marcie has lost her wedding ring at a male strip club.

For those of you in the know:

Katey Segal also does the voice of Leela in "Futurama"
