That game was so wrong.

While the super nintendo version is better in that there is actully some gameplay involved, the arcade version has visible damage where you get hit. Basically if you get hit on the arms it's the arms that get stripped of the skin&clothes if you get hit in the chest, the chest becomes that of a robot and so on.

It's an horrible game if not for that maniacal attention to detail in the damage section.

Just fired it up now, seems to work fine for me (oldish version - 0.131u4). No idea why MAME would ask for NeoGeo anything for a Taito game from '87 though.

ETA: The game kinda blows btw. although that triple-screen thang it's got going on would've blown my mind if I'd seen a machine at the time.

it does not use neogeo here , it has a dedicated bios rom that is just for that cabinet.

also i'm using mame v0.150 but the dependancies should have not changed, it's not like you can "dumb down" mame and have a game run based on stuff that it did not depend on.
